Most families reach us after being told no somewhere else
Here at Smith Sedation Dentistry, we've seen a lot of families that are just frustrated. They don't know where to get help for their loved one or their family member, and it feels really good. We're able to help them, walk them through the process, get their loved one help, and get the dentistry that they need that they've been prolonging for a long time.
If your loved one has been putting off treatment for years because no office could manage the visit, that is the situation this practice was built for. Call 559-494-4988 and ask for Melissa.

When the whole experience is too overwhelming to sit through
We see a lot of patients here that have disabilities, being autistic, having Down syndrome, having cerebral palsy. So, when we see a special needs patient a lot of times, this whole dental experience is very overwhelming. And so, we're able to offer sedation dentistry and get the x-rays done when they're sleeping and then go over all the treatment that's needed, if any, with their family member or their loved one that's here with them in the office.
Asleep for the x-rays, asleep for the treatment
Deep sedation is given by Dr. Donald Milne, MD, a board-certified anesthesiologist, so nothing has to be attempted while your loved one is awake and distressed.
-
Deep sedation, not conscious sedation
These people cannot do regular sedation. They need to be deeply sedated with an anesthesiologist, and we are the ones who can provide this.

X-rays taken while they are sleeping

The plan is discussed with you
Then go over all the treatment that’s needed, if any, with their family member or their loved one that’s here with them in the office.

Four months of swelling, and nobody would see him
We had a 34-year-old man with autism come to our office a few months ago. He’d had swelling for four months in his cheek. He couldn’t find anyone to help him. Dr. Milne, my anesthesiologist, sedated him. We took X-rays. Not only did we deal with the abscess, but we found other things, and we fixed those that day as well.
It gives me great pride to be serving the special needs community. Autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome. These people cannot do regular sedation. They need to be deeply sedated with an anesthesiologist, and we are the ones who can provide this.
Give us a call. We’d love to talk and see what we can do to help you.
Tell us about your loved one and we will tell you honestly whether we can help. There is no pressure and no obligation.
